Line Cook / Prep Cook

Poke Stop is a local, family-owned business in Mililani Mauka featuring fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients and dishes created by Chef Elmer Guzman. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position will help with daily food preparation, cooking, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food is prepared consistently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to Poke Stop recipes and quality standards

• Complete daily food preparation and prep work

• Properly portion, cut, season, and prepare ingredients

• Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, sides, and other menu items

• Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes, and presentation

• Set up and stock assigned stations before service

• Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and properly stocked

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures

• Monitor food levels and communicate when ingredients need to be prepared or restocked

• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food and ingredients

• Work efficiently during busy service periods

• Communicate clearly with other kitchen team members and management

• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries as needed

• Help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and organization

• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties

• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently

• Follow all company policies and kitchen procedures

Qualifications

• At least 1 consecutive years of previous line cook experience preferred

• Previous prep cook or commercial kitchen experience

• Strong knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repetitively

• Must be able to stand and work for extended periods

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

• Must be able to start promptly after being hired

Poke Stop is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Front Counter / Cashier to join our team at our Mililani Mauka location.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Our front counter team is an important part of creating a welcoming experience for our customers and helping them choose from our variety of poke, plates, bowls, burgers, breakfast items, and daily selections.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Explain menu items, poke selections, daily specials, and available options
• Answer customer questions and make recommendations when appropriate
• Operate the cash register and POS system
• Accurately process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment
• Package food and orders for dine-in, takeout, and pickup
• Double-check orders for accuracy before handing them to customers
• Communicate customer orders clearly with kitchen staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter and dining area
• Restock front-of-house supplies as needed
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
• Provide friendly and professional customer service throughout every interaction
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly
